Haryana Roadways E-Ticketing and National Common Mobility Card (NCMC): Haryana Roadways buses will now be able to take tickets through QR code. Not only this, you can pay through many apps including Google Pay, Paytm. According to roadways officials, about Rs 40 crore is being spent on this scheme. This will save the roadways about Rs 80 crore every year. This scheme has already started in neighboring states, but Haryana Roadways is now going to implement it. Roadways will start this process of e-ticketing from 29 November.
The department is also planning to introduce National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) in buses. First this card will be available for passport free passengers in roadways buses. Later this card will be given to the students of the state from March to April next year. The cost of the card is ₹100.
42 categories traveling in roadways buses will also have to be made NCMC. 4.50 to 5.50 lakh people travel daily on Haryana Roadways. Roadways has currently made 1000 NCMCs. It is linked to the Minister of Transport, the Director of Transport, including the Road Transport Authority. It will be first introduced in Karnal, Sonipat, Faridabad, Bhiwani, Sirsa and Chandigarh.
