Unit-I: History, Culture and Heritage of Rajasthan

Unit-II: Geography, Natural Resources and Socio-Economic Development of Rajasthan

Geography of Rajasthan: Broad physical features- mountains, plateaus, plains and deserts; major rivers and lakes; climatic and agro-climatic zones; Major soil types and distribution; Major forest types and distributions; demographic characteristics; Desertification, droughts and floods, deforestation, environmental pollution and ecological concerns. Aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons- concept of aromaticity, methods of preparation, and chemical properties of alcohols, phenols, aldehydes, ketones, carboxylic acids, nitro compounds, and amines.
