Al-Mohad-al Hindi-23 Relations between India and Saudi Arabia have grown stronger in the last few years. Be it trade or health, technology or defence, both the countries are working together in all fields. Naval officers of the two countries met in Mumbai on Thursday (March 16) and discussed the proposed joint exercise.

Navies of India and Saudi Arabia will conduct joint military training with each other in May this year. Saudi Arabia is planning to organize this military training in Jubail. It has been named Al-Mohad-al Hindi-23. This is the second joint military exercise between the navies of the two countries.

The first exercise between the two countries took place in August 2021. A team from the Royal Saudi Navy met the Indian Navy personnel in Mumbai. Indian Navy Officials gave this information on Thursday (March 16).

The aim of the exercise is to conduct an electronic warfare exercise for tactical manoeuvres, search and rescue operations and to enhance interoperability. During the Riyadh Summit held in 2019, a framework was laid to conduct such military exercises between the two countries. Recently, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Farhan Al-Saud praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that relations with India are given top priority. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman are committed to strengthening ties between the two countries, he said. Relations between the two countries have grown rapidly in the last few years.
