Bank Holidays April 2023:- Public and private banks do not work on Sundays except the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Let us tell you that next month in April there will be 15 days holiday. According to the RBI order, in April 2023, banks will remain closed for a total of 15 days, including Sundays along with second and fourth Saturdays.

Mahavir Jayanti is a holiday on 4th April

The first holiday in the month of April will start from the annual closing of bank accounts on 1st April. There will be a holiday on Mahavir Jayanti on April 4. There will be no problem related to the functioning of the bank throughout the month. During this, ATMs, cash deposits, online banking and mobile banking will continue to function. Holidays may vary from state to state.

According to RBI guidelines, apart from Sundays, banks remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month as well. RBI has declared bank holidays on April 1, 4, 5, 7, 14, 15, 18, 21 and 22 under the Negotiable Instruments Act. Apart from this, 5 Sundays are falling on 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 April.
