RBI 1000 Note Update: New instructions have been given by RBI

RBI has issued a new guideline regarding ₹ 2000 note. Sufficient time has been given to the people to exchange this note. After demonetisation, the government had decided to issue ₹2000 note, but now they have decided to withdraw it from circulation.

In such a situation, many people are wondering whether 1000 rupee notes will come into circulation again. In this regard, Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das has given information clarifying this.

Giving information about this, RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das has clarified that at present there is no plan according to which ₹ 1000 notes will be brought back into use. At present, the government is not making any such plan nor is it thinking about it.

1000 rupee notes were discontinued in November 2016. According to media reports, the printing of Rs 2000 notes was stopped in 2018-2019.
